Marlene's journey in the travel industry began in 1979 when she started in a bookkeeper role. This early experience gave her valuable insights into how commissions and fees are earned and managed within the industry. Motivated by her passion for travel, Marlene decided to transition into becoming a Travel Advisor and pursued education to master the Global Distribution System (GDS) and travel industry-specific software. Her dedication and quick progress allowed her to become an expert in managing all aspects of travel arrangements.

Throughout her career, Marlene has focused on Corporate, Meeting, and Incentive Travel, specializing in sending corporate groups to sought-after destinations like the Caribbean and Hawaii. She further developed a niche in the Medical Meeting World, catering to clients with the highest expectations and providing top-notch service. While corporate travel is her forte, Marlene is also adept at planning leisure trips and honeymoons for clients traveling worldwide. Her extensive personal travels have taken her to various countries in Europe, with a particular affinity for Italy, as well as countries in Asia.

Before joining Travelong of Summit in 2017, Marlene and her husband owned their own travel agency. This experience has equipped her with the ability to handle any unforeseen problems that may arise, although there are very few she hasn't anticipated. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President, Marlene not only manages an extensive client portfolio but also oversees all Travelong of Summit employees and independent advisors. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, it's safe to say that travel is in her DNA.
